Dr. Zehavit Bar On
Lab manager
Zehavit Received her B.Sc in Bio-Medical Engineered in 2007 from Jerusalem College of Technology, her M.Sc in bio-physics in 2011, and her PhD in physics in 2017, both from Bar-Ilan University. Prior to joining the L2DMI gourp, she worked at NADAV-Diagnosis and Medical Treatment LTD and the Jerome Schottenstein Center in Bar-Ilan University, being in-charge of the microscopy unit and image process automations.

Dr. Ori Avayu
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ori Joined the L2DMI lab in November 2022 as a Postdoctoral fellow. He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University. He completed his Ph.D. in 2020 at the Tel-Aviv University, investigating optical Metasurfaces for multi-wavelength beam shaping. Ori received his B.Sc. in Physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Prior to joining the lab, Ori worked for a TAU-based spin off company developing an augmented reality optical combiner based on Metasurfaces.

Yonatan Gershuni
PhD Student
Yonatan received his B.Sc in physics and astronomy from Tel Aviv University in 2019. He conducted his research for his M.Sc in physics also in Tel Aviv University at Dr. Pomerantz’s lab, studying acceleration of Ions by intense laser interaction with thin solid targets.

Michael Klein
MSc Student
Michael is has obtained his B.Sc in the joint materials engineering and chemistry program at Tel Aviv University. During his B.Sc. studies, he did a summer project at prof. Patolski’s group and a final project at prof. Yoram Dagan’s group. After high school, he postponed his military service for a year volunteering at a youth movement. He studied gastronomy for a year in Italy at the University of gastronomic science.

Anabel Atash
MSc Student
Anabel received her B.Sc in Material Engineering and Chemistry from Tel Aviv University in October 2021. After the B.Sc, she worked in Western Digital as Device engineering for 1 year, and then joined the L2DMI group as an M.Sc student in the EE program.

Matan Meshulam
MSc Student
Matan received his B.Sc. in physics and astronomy from Tel Aviv University in 2021. After completing his degree he had worked for a company in the Diffractive Optical Elements (DOEs) field as an application engineer, and then joined the L2DMI group as an M.Sc student in physics.

Tomer Eini
MSc student
Tomer holds a BSc from the joint Physics/Electrical Engineering program under the prestigious reserve academic program “Psagot” of the IDF. During his studies he was accepted to the school’s honor program in Physics and Astronomy at Tel Aviv University.

Daniel Nissim
MSc student
Daniel is fourth-year B.Sc student in the joint Electrical Engineering/Physics program and in the direct MSc degree program in Electrical Engineering. He graduated with honors from “Kiryat Hinuh Yafo” in Tel Aviv.

Maor Marcus
MSc Student
Maor received his B.Sc in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University in October 2022. During his academic years, he researched quantum computing and quantum communication, and started a research in particle physics in collaboration with CERN organization, using Deep-Learning methods. He is in the Academic Reserve (Atuda) program in the army.

Ziv Dadosh
MSc Student
Ziv received his B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During his B.Sc. studies, he worked as a personal mentor in the unit for diagnosing and supporting students with learning disabilities. After completing his B.Sc., Ziv continued to M.Sc. studies in Physics at Tel Aviv University, where he joined the L2DMI group.

Ilana Kats
Research Assistant
Ilana is a third-year B.Sc student in the joint Electrical Engineering and Physics program at Tel Aviv University. She is part of the prestigious academic program “Psagot” of the IDF. She graduated with honors from “De Shalit High School” in Rehovot. During 12'th grade she and her teammates represented their high school in The “Safe Cracking” International Physics Tournament. They won first place in the national competition and second place in the international one.

Brittany Cohen immigrated to Israel from South Africa in 2016. Brittany is now a third-year student at Tel Aviv University, studying in the joint Electrical Engineering and Physics program.

Dr. Zhiqin Huang
Visiting Scholar
Dr. Zhiqin Huang is a Longshan Scholar at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (Nanjing, China). Her main research interest covers Plasmonics, nonlinear/ultrafast optics, metamaterials, holography, AR, etc. Zhiqin received a B. S. in Optic Information Science & Technology and a BBA in Business Administration from Wuhan University of Technology (Wuhan, China). She got her M. S. in Applied Physics from University of Massachusetts Boston (Boston, USA). Zhiqin received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Duke University (Durham, USA) and her PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. David R. Smith focused on metamaterial waveguide holography. After graduation, she worked as an optical engineer at DigiLens (California, USA).
